Weather Rock

While driving around last week end we stopped at an ice cream place to get a cone. We were sitting in the car eating our cones, I noticed this large rock in the lawn and above it was this nice sign;

Weather Rock,
Present Conditions;
IF DRY -- SUNNY
IF WET-- RAIN
IF WHITE-- SNOW
IF GONE-- TORNADO

I just thought it was cute and wanted to share with my friends. Just wondering if there are any other weather rocks around the country, if so please let us know.

Now that's clever and more accurate then most weather men. LOL

Lol, I've never seen a weather rock, but I have seen several Look Rock(s). I'm assuming you climb up on top then have a look around. o.O

Love it! :) And the lack of accuracy on the part of our weather forecasters this summer, I go along with what Yvonne wrote above "beats the weather forecast any day"!!

Thanks for the smile.

Hey neat, you live by Lake Michigan. Just had to look up where you lived in Michigan. Our son lives in Mayville MI. Closest big city is Saginaw. When we visit there we go to Lake Huron, I like it there. Yes Margaret, I have seen a weather rock before but I am truly sorry but I cannot remember where it was. I agree it's better than a weatherman. I see your son Doug thinks he remembers where it is. LOL.

I have seen a weather rock somewhere because I remember the forcast. I think it might have been at Cumberland Falls in their gift shop. I enjoyed it when I saw it and now am enjoying it again on your post.

Hi Margaret,

I love that weather rock...It made me laugh out loud... I think it probably forecasts the weather as well as the weatherman most of the time. Very cute and funny!

Thanks for visiting and leaving such encouraging comments. I must admit I am slowing down in my commenting, and blogging. I guess I could say I'm taking my summer blogging vacation... ;)

Enjoy the beautiful weather we have been having lately, I know I am.

About the Oreo cookies, I myself don't care that much for the dark chocolate cookie, I prefer chocolate chip with nuts and raisins and extra chips, in other words I like them loaded. LOL But once in a while I will eat an Oreo and I like to dunk them in cold milk, in fact any sandwich cookie, where the cookie is hard, I like to dunk. Thanks for stopping by. Yes, the week is going FAST, but then summer did also and here it is the middle of Sept. all ready. I guess it's true, they say the older you get the faster time flies, well it seems it's been going double fast this year. Have a wonderful week-end.

Hello Margaret:)

This is a humorous post but speaks nothing but the truth. Our official weather forecasts are not as reliable as this.

I have not seen such a unique rock around my place. Thanks for sharing.

Have a nice day and more ice creams:)
Joseph

made me think, not too long ago i was driving home down a back country road and saw this sign posted a good tall 10 feet above the owners mailbox.....the sign read ' place bills here' .

made me smile. as does your post. humor is great for the soul. and the logical humor is the best.

Dear Margaret ~~ Great post and a good weather
predictor!! About as good as we get, mostly.

I am glad that you got some chuckles from my jokes. Neither do I like dusting too often. Thank you for your prayers for my son's safe trip. He rang me this afternoon from my brother's place. I hope he will be OK tomorrow at the funeral of his friend. He will stay at my brothers again tomorrow and then head home.

All of my expected visitors didn't arrive. one
lot with sickness and the other not this weekend
I had a neighbor call in for a while and have been giving neighbors some profriteroles
and put things in the freezer etc. No doubt they will come another day. Take care dear
friend. Love, Merle.
