There's A Reason

There's A Reason
by Claytia Doran

I was always taught, there's a reason
That people do the things they do,
Though you may not always like them.
Their heart hides a secret from you.

If they're quick to bite your head off
Or constantly brag and boast,
Remember, the people we like the least
May need our love the most.

Could it be they had been abused
Or even ridiculed all their lives?
These are the type of hurtful things
That make sure their heart survives.

But, the heart that survives is hardened
And, on the seas of life, they coast.
Remember, the people we like the least
May need our love the most.

How true, how true. Rained here all most all day today. I hope the sun comes out tomorrow. I feel so much better on sunny days. Now that my eye can see better, I was amazed at the dirt on my white tile in the kitchen. And the dirt and grease under my range hood. Didn't notice this before. Now I'm afraid to look in the mirror. LOL. My Mom said after she had hers done she was amazed at all the dirt she saw. I guess after I take a week off, per doctors orders, I will need to tackle that cleaning. Have a nice week-end. Guess the girls are coming Sunday afternoon and bringing cake and ice cream. Abe's birthday is Sunday and mine is Tuesday, and Sunday is the best day to get together. At Abe's and my age, we could forget it all together. LOL

Hello Margaret, thank you for stopping by our blog. :) We always enjoy reading your post and our mom often says it opens her eyes. :)

Just like you mention, our humans often say the thing happen for a reason so we think the people we like the least may need our love the most but we doggies have to wonder why they do something someone else may not like? Humans are so complicated!!

I love that poem. My mother used to say that everything that happens, happens for a reason. Sometimes, I think that is true, also. Have a great weekend.

This is so true. Mom took a Life Skills class quite awhile back and she learned that you can tell a little about people on how they act. The biggest thing that is hard to get over is rejection, whether it be from a mom, dad, sister, brother, husband. Especially someone that is suppose to love you. Even though sometimes it's hard to be by that particular person to show them you care. Good post.
