The Lovely Evergreen in Nature

Divine Art
by Joan Adams Burchell

Evergreens so beautiful -
dressed in virgin white;
Here and there, ornaments of colour -
God’s winter birds - a delight!

Cardinals, Jays, Chickadees,
and God’s beloved Sparrows -
All a part of His winter canvas
perfected by He who knows.

Snow that falls throughout the night -
untouched by human hand,
Is a vision of Holy loveliness
to those who understand.

Painters, photographers and poets, too,
try to capture the sight;
Skiers, children, enjoy it their way -
as they play with all their might.

Some look through their window-pane,
just admiring the view;
God sends it for those who are shut in -
not only for me and you.

How Great His Wisdom and Love for all!
He knows whate’er the season -
Creative paintings send LOVE all around
and that is God’s gift and reason.

Dear Margaret ~ Lovely poem and I am a tree lover - "Only God can make a tree" from the poem Trees.
Glad you liked my tree picture, and I can't draw a thing either. I
have great respect for those who can draw with their mouth or their feet. My brother and I did look happy and are great friends. There is only the two of us.
Glad you liked the poem and jokes.
Merry Christmas again my friend.
Love, Merle.

This was such a pretty poem. I also am a tree lover even though some of them don't like me. (allergies) God's nature and how he paints it with snow, sunrises, sunsets, clouds is always so amazing. Just love it all.

What a moving poem Margaret. Our home is surrounded by evergreens, and they are the home to many, many birds. There is such beauty even in the snow when we've seen enough and sometimes we wish it would go away.

Hi Margaret:)

Lovely poem in praise of God's wonders. It is amazing to see how the season changes and all things adapt to survive the changes.

I take this opportunity to wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas and a very happy, peaceful and healthy New Year:)

Margaret, I think I am very lucky in that my property is just chock full of evergreens. With the snow we had this weekend, the blue skies today and all the evergreens it sure made for a beautiful sight.

Your poem says it all. Love it.

If I stop to think about it, I wonder why man has to try to improve the appearance of things. The pine trees are about as nice as nature gets when it comes to making a tree pretty. But we stick licks, aluminum foil and gobs of gadgets all over them. It looks pretty. LOL

I will never understand it.
