The Bank (flowers or not?)

My Backyard
My tough old bank landscaped, planted, and waiting to bloom.

I don't know how many of my friends I complained about not being able to grow anything on my bank. Well, Wednesday, my son Doug, spent all day clearing out weeds, putting some new shaped stone from the Garden Center along the bottom of the bank. He then relined up my stones and leveled the dirt, then put in the flower seeds.

We are going to take pictures from time to time of the progress of the little seeds to see how they grow. We will be posting them on this post, so wish me luck, I hope Doug has a greener thumb than I do.

Good luck. I'm not too good at planting and growing things, but Abe use to be able to drop the seeds and two days later they seemed to sprout. Off to make some Shoe Peg Corn salad for the reunion on Sunday. Have a great week-end. P..> Will be waiting for more snapshots of the progress.

Hi Margaret, It will be fun to see the progress along with you. Have your son run on over to my house and help get something to grow under my old magnolia tree. I can't get anything to grow there. Have a great weekend. :)

Dear Margaret ~~ Thanks for your comments and I am glad you liked the story of the little boy and the senior's joke. Taking the 2 eggs home and baking a cake.
I hope you get some nice warm weather soon. It is winter here, but I have heaters and an electric blanket, so shouldn't complain.
I hope your flowers soon appear. Take care
my friend, Love, Merle.

Hello Margaret:)

Greetings and good wishes:)

I can see your son Doug has done quite a lot of hard work. Now that all the basic things have been done we will have to wait with bated breath for the plants to grow. It should be exciting to keep watching on a daily basis.

I have some plants of my own on the kitchen window sill and I know how wonderful it is to see the flowers blooming.

Good luck Margaret:)
Joseph

You can send your son over here to work on my bank, too. I have one that sure needs something. I will watch and see how yours comes along and maybe I will do the same thing.

I can't grow anything either... two years ago I planted 28 bulbs in the fall and I got 1 flower that died in 2 weeks. Bummer!!
This year, I at least have on potted plant of wild flowers and a really nice basil plant, but that is it.
I saw your post on how they are growing... you are doing fantastic!! :-)
