Letting Go

I came across this the other day and wanted to post it in memory of all my family, friends, and pets, that have gone on before me.

God saw you getting tired. When a cure was not to be.
He closed his arms around you and whispered; "Come to me".
In tears we saw you sinking. We watched you fade away.
Our hearts were almost broken, you fought so hard to stay.
But when we saw you sleeping so peacefully free from pain.
We could not wish you back to suffer once again.
So keep your arms around them Lord, and give them special care.
Make up for all they suffered and all that seemed unfair.

Those we love are never really lost to us-we feel them in many ways, through friends they cared about and dreams they left behind and in beauty they added to our days. In words of wisdom we still carry with us and memories that never will be gone. Our family chain is broken, you did not go alone, part of us went with you. But as God calls us one by one the chain will link again.

This poem was on my sister's death notice, the little cards one picks up when visiting the funeral home.

Went to my 55th. class get together that this one lady has at her home. First time I have gone, really enjoyed myself, plan on going next year, if she still has one. I did go to our 20th., 40th. and 50th. Class Alumni. But this was a lot more fun. It was a carry in and it was just our class.

Hello Margaret:)

Very touching words which left a deep impression on me.

It is true God comes to our rescue when we cannot bear our burdens any longer in this world. In fact God never gives us any trouble which we cannot bear. He is there always watching us with great love and compassion.

Very often we remember people who lived with us,shared with us their joys and sorrows, came to our aid in times of difficulties, comforted us, looked after us and one fine day they are no more except in our innermost thoughts.Very often we replay the scenes when they were alive and it touches us very deeply and we are filled with remorse and sorrow. But then our turn will come and we are sure to meet them and be with them forever.

Best wishes Margaret:)
Joseph

Very prophetic-like Margaret. With all my problems, I feel like somebody is tapping me for a trip I don't even know about. Come to think about it that is the best way. We don't really want to know.

But then I got visit somebody in the ground these many years and the stone seems to be so cold and unhuman. It is hard to think about the person you loved in the ground.

Patty and I will be cremated. One or the other will end up with a small box of ashes and those will end up with one of the kids unless they split us 5 ways and each take a 1/4 cup full. LOL

Thanks for the visit.

I am trying to put a new spin on all my old blogs. It keeps my mind and fingers occupied and now and then I spot a hawk or a butterfly and go out and take a picture and come back in and suck on oxygen.
