I used to when I was a kid and thought it would be good for our kids to experience. One thing though, Frank, my husband, did not like camping so we got a camper. He didn't complain as bad. Before we got the camper we were going to take a camping trip for two weeks. When we got to Carlsbad caverns it was so blasted it hot we did not want to stay in a tent. Got a motel. When we got to the Grand Canyon we camped one night and rained and more rain was coming so we took the tent down when it dried. So on to Zion and Bruce Canyons. They were having flash floods. Got a motel. Well, our two week vacation ended in one week. Ran out of money eating out and motels. It was something to remember though.caspersmomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08181735701966287433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291036096319705346.post-25297183996580320272009-03-25T22:58:00.000-04:002009-03-25T22:58:00.000-04:00MOVE is a 4 letter word to me........ They took off on Friday evenings as soon as my brother-in-law got home and went about 20 miles away to camp. Then they would get everything packed up and take off for church on Sunday mornings and then go on back home. I personally could never under stand what she liked about it. It just seemed like so much extra work on her part. Plus I wasn't much of an out doors person. Roughing it would be sleeping with my bedroom window open. LOL

Sounds like you, hubby and the boys has some nice times. And it does make for fond memories. The camping and looking for old bottles must have been fun, since your son still has nice memories of those times. And what fun to raise a baby squirrel. They can get quite tame. I know what it is like raising children, there is always one with a broken bone somewhere along the way. And the story about the squirrel is just so sweet. I guess squirrels must keep neat, and tidy homes, up there in their tree houses. ;)

I also enjoyed reading about the little town in your post #13.

Have a great week.

Ann Gigi Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08092019687497845746noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291036096319705346.post-71323424462293995242009-03-23T16:54:00.000-04:002009-03-23T16:54:00.000-04:00Oh my! another move?Oh my! another move?
