Once upon a time, long, long, ago the world was new, not a creature stirred upon its face. The water was fresh, the sun shone upon this land, not a tree was disturbed, the wind blew through their leaves and scurred along the green grass. There was rippling brooks, small lakes, large oceans, hugh mountains and vast deserts. He made a moon to light the night and a sun to brighten the days.
This land was made by a God, who looked out upon it and it was beautiful, everything was pure, not a creature roamed upon it, this made God sad. God had made a glorious heaven for his angles, that sparkled like the morning dew and is pure in every way, but, he wanted more, he must of been lonely. There was no one to enjoy all his creation but himself. He wanted something to swim in the waters and someone to walk upon the earth. I wander what the feeling was like to talk to God and have him talk back, I don't mean like in prayer, but, like Adam did.
God first created the living creatures, cattle, and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind. He was still lonely, so he made man after his likeness, from the dust of the earth came man. God gave man dominion over all creatures of the land. God caused man to fall into a deep sleep and he took one of his ribs and thus he made woman. Man said this is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh, she shall be called woman. The man was Adam and the woman was Eve.
God put man into the beautiful "Garden of Eden," and told him he could eat freely of every tree in the garden, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that you do eat from it"thou shalt surely die." The serpent was the temptation that caused Eve to eat the apple, but we have many more temptations today to cause us to sin. Eve ate the apple and so did Adam, therefore they were cast out of the garden.
I think when I was writing this post I was thinking of how virgin the world was at one time. Sometimes when you are walking in the woods you come upon a part of the forest you know has not changed for hundreds of years. This gives you a good feeling and you would like to sit right down and not move for a long time, it's almost like how God felt when he made earth.
No wonder God destroyed the earth once, I can see why, they were not treating it right and man had gotten to wicked. My question is, why has it taken God so long this time? We certainly live in a more wicked world today and we are destroying the earth that our Lord created for us. I guess God is going to let man do it this time around. Sometime I can see the earth and God's arms holding it like you would a baby, and God saying to man in a loud voice, "I gave it to you to take care of," and now look at it. I know in the bible God said next time it would be destroyed by fire. This does bring up the global warming, could this be the fire?

That's a very interesting question Margaret,
But I don't know the answer. I was intrigued by
this blog as it raised many issues.
Very thought provoking, I shall go to bed tonight
thinking about this blog and who knows may come up with an answer.
Yvonne.
No answer... but I like to think that GOD is giving men a little more time to get to know him and get saved... I think it will not be long until Jesus comes back to take us out of here...
What a profound post, Margaret. Makes one think, too.
Thats a beautiful post and very thought provoking. Margaret, maybe this time God wants us to do what we want to, he will then pick up the best among us and would form another world for his dear followers, the rest would remain weaping down under. Its time to pull up our socks to get enrolled in the best list;)
Have a great week ahead!
Dear Margaret ~ What a lovely post remembering how beautiful this world was before we ruined it.
And I agree with a lot of your ideas about low sentences for murder etc. No justice there most times. Thanks for your comments glad you enjoyed the jokes, especially the zipper one. and also
the story of The Red Marbles. It was nice. I am quite over my fall at last Take care my friend,
Love, Merle.
your post really makes one stop and think.
Hope you had a nice Mother's Day
Michelle
Hi Margaret:)
Lovely post very beautifully written.
The devil who tempted Eve and made her eat the forbidden fruit is all the more active. There are more people in this world today and he wants as many damned souls as possible to fill up the hell.
Have a nice day Margaret:)

A wonderful post Margaret. I guess I am a 'hopist'. I hope that man will get it right. Maybe God is waiting for us to grow up and give us a chance to help ourselves, like a parent would a small child before that parent has to step in with a little more help and guidance.
Hi Margaret, Like Denise, I am a hopist too. Only hope for the best. Come for a visit again. I am having a give-away along with a lot of other nice people.
What a deep realization of God's creation. What is happening now was written in the Bible right?
It's sad that we are ruining the gifts the God bestowed upon us.
Lovely post. Just wanted to stop by and say Hi!
The Raggedy Girl
Lovely, thought provoking post, Margaret. Perhaps because God loves us so much, he is giving us another chance.
Have a wonderful day!

HAPPY BELATED MOTHER'S DAY, MARGARET.
I BELIEVE THAT THE HOLY SPIRIT IS HOLDING BACK THE EVIL CURTAIN IN ORDER FOR MANY TO COME TO CHRIST BEFORE THE FINAL CURTAIN CALL. I CERTAINLY DO NOT WANT TO BE ON THIS EARTH WHEN THE HOLY SPIRIT REMOVES HIMSELF...IT WILL BE SUCH EVIL, IT WILL MAKE THE DAYS WE ARE LIVING IN NOW LOOK PURE. OH I CRY AND PRAY FOR THOSE WHO REJECT JESUS THAT THEY WILL REPENT AND COME TO JESUS BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. PEOPLE LAUGH AT JESUS, THEY MAKE FUN OF HIM, THEY THINK HE IS A FAIRY TALE....THEY SAY THEY PLAN TO GO TO HELL AND PARTY.....OH HOW I PRAY FOR THEM...BUT GOD HONORS OUR FREE WILL TO CHOOSE HIM OR REJECT HIM.
I LOVE YOUR BLOG MARGARET. I HAVE SINCE I READ YOUR VERY FIRST STORY. YOU ARE THE BEST.
BLESSINGS
HUGS

I dont know what is going to happen Margaret but nothing would surprise me. That was really well written and will give me somthing to think about. We all need a wake up call in this world I think!
I know that I would not be where I am today if it wasn't for God, and for the people He picked to be my parents. As He says...
"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction. My son, hear the instruction of your father, And do not forsake the law of your mother; For they will be a graceful ornament on your head, And chains about your neck." - Proverbs 1:7-9
It took me a while to "Hear, my son, your father’s instruction, and do not forsake your mother’s teaching," but thanks to the Lord I came to understand and listen to you and Dad. You always had my best interests at heart, and you actually knew what you were talking about (lol).
I am thankful that you are both my parents.
In response to your post ... God has to wait until everything He said in the bible comes to pass (mainly, that the Gospel will reach everyone). He wants everyone to be saved, so He has made enough time so that everyone will get to hear about Jesus and have a chance to give their life to Him. Once this has happened, then the end will come.
It might be global warming. Obviously that's happening so it might factor in. But it's not really clear. The only reference in the bible is to a fire of some sort ...
"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up." - 2 Peter 3:10
The Bible speaks of a whole new age — the age to come — and a whole new creation. The eternal future of God's people is not an escape from this world it’s the perfect renewal of this world. Just as our bodies die and are raised, so this whole creation will be burned up and a new one created. As John writes in Revelations ...
"Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, 'Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.'" - Revelation 21:1-3
In this age to come - the "new earth" - death will be no more. In this new age Jesus will rule with justice over all the creation, weeping and crying will be no more, kids won’t die and elderly people will have health eternally. No one will be hungry, no one will be disabled physically, no one will emotionally limp through life, no one will be robbed. It will be a place of perfect peace. Every desire will be satisfied in the glory and joy of the physical presence of our risen Lord Jesus. Forever. There is no better gospel, no better hope, no better news than that.
Interesting post, Margaret. We humans have done so much damage to the earth in a relatively short period of time, and I don't see any signs that we plan to stop... very disheartening!
You know Margaret, each time I have REALLY needed help God was there. He acted quickly and without fail. I have faith that God will help us all in our hour of need.
That said, we can't just through our hands in the air and dump it all in God's lap. I don't know what sort of fire we may be in for, but it's sure making my imagination run wild.
When we made our first trip to Alaska four years ago and saw the absolute beauty of untouched lands, the rain forests, the bald eagles, the wildlife, and the glaciers, we were awestruck and humbled... And sadden by the mess we were making of our planet. Excellent post. thank you
Thank you friends for stopping by and leaving a comment. I always like to read what you have to say. I like this quote; "The way to love anything is to realize it might be lost." Have a great day friends.
