Gods Gift

Thank you God for the gift of life, for letting me be me,
For all that I can know by words, and all that I can see,
For all the music I can hear and all the songs I sing,
For all the joy that comes to me and all the joy it brings,
For all the food that I can taste and all the sweet scents I smell,
For all the loved ones I can touch, who love and wish me well;
For all the beauty of the world, ever fresh and new,
I do not know whom else I can thank, and so I am thanking you.

That's a beautiful piece Margaret. I am tickled you were able to drop by today. I think of you and your old digger often. Hope he is improving daily and that you are taking care of yourself. xo

This is a beautiful reminder to be grateful for all we have instead of only bemoaning what we don't.

By the way, it's so interesting that there is another blog called Musings on your side bar. I went to visit it for fun. She has the same blog title but a different blog address. I guess there must be a lot of blogs named Musings out there. I shall have to google it for fun.

Dear Margaret ~~ What a beautiful Piece -
what a shame for the author being Unknown
when the words are so good. I hope your husband is continuing to improve. I wonder
if your son has planted the garden for you this year. It looked so nice last year.
Thanks for your comments and I am happy to be walking better, but not real good.
Glad you liked the 57 cent story - it was a lovely one.,and the blonde cook ones were funny.
Take care my friend, Love, Merle.

Thank you for visiting my blog and for commenting about the post about Wildflowers.

Yes, this is one corner of the backyard. I can sit on the swing under the strombrella and look out at the flowers but don't do it as much due to the oxygen requirement and then this is the worst time of year here for people suffering from asthma.

Hello Margaret,

Lovely poem. However much we thank God we don't thank enough for so many blessing that we enjoy.

Best wishes,
Joseph

Time to get some chicken legs started for supper this evening. Granddaughter and her Mother will be leaving soon for her Sax lesson. by the time they get home, supper should be ready. I'm not that hungry, Abe and i went to the VFW for shrimp and french fries at lunch time. Hope all is well up north. We're having a cooler day today. I worked out in the yard for a little while this morning. Have a good evening. Abe's watching the Women's Soccer game at the moment, USA beat France so who ever wins this game between Japan and I can't remember the other team, will then play USA, I imagine tomorrow.

Not on our merits, but on His grace.

That was a good reminder. We often forget to say a word of thanks for the wonder of life we have. Our prayers are all full of requests.

What a very wonderful poem. I try everyday to be tahnkful for everything I have in my life.
Miserably hot and dry here, but on the other hand it could be below zero, and feet deep in snow...
